I am in the Netherlands for a week on a business trip. I arrived at Schiphol airport at Amsterdam yesterday mid afternoon and to Eindhoven in a taxi by evening. I was exhausted by the time I reached the hotel, and to my dismay, my hotel room’s window was left open, and the heater turned off. Outside temperature was around -2 degrees centigrade. I slid under the sheets and all I remember was waking up today.
It’s been a while since I had bland food. Breakfast this morning was not edible for Indian standards. I managed to down some beans, multi-grain bread and a couple of tiny pancakes along with some green tea.
Dubai airport is amazing. It is more of a super-sized mall than an airport. For starters, it is huge. I had to walk twenty minutes straight through to find my gate (228), and throughout the way, there were rows and rows of shops. Although I didn’t have much time to catch my connecting flight to Amsterdam, I managed a couple of clicks.
