ITSM and ITIL

Detailed History of ITIL

I am working on an article for a client, and the article revolves around the basics of ITIL. I am planning on adding a section on history of ITIL, so I did some googling.

I found this forum which provides the best details of history that I have seen and read by far. The contributors are none other than the people who were a part of the team who helped create ITIL in the eighties.

I was surprised to find this gold buried below other superficial websites which claim to portray the history of ITIL. I guess Google’s panda update still has quite a lot of improvements to ensure the best and verbatim data is available right at the top.
