In 2010, TCS brand was valued at 2.3 billion USD and today it stands tall at 8.2 billion USD. The growth rate is alarming at an average of around 55 percent every year.
Between 2012 and 2013 alone, the brand value went up by 3.05 billion USD.
The valuation conducted by Brand Finance is based on reputation and image of the company along with the intellectual property that it owns.
This valuation technique has been accepted as a standard by most global corporations including various regulatory bodies and brand consulting firms.
TCS was founded way back in 1968 and is head quartered in Mumbai, India. It is biggest Indian IT company and hires over 300,000 people worldwide. It currently has presence in 46 countries with India leading in terms of employee count.
